Book Processing Charges (BPC) and Chapter Processing Charges (CPC) are required for a book or chapter to be published Open Access under a Creative Commons license. These charges cover the costs of commissioning, copyediting, proofreading, production, dissemination, and promotion of the authors' work, including online hosting and indexing. Similarly, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is required for an article to be published Open Access under a Creative Commons license. This charge covers the costs involved in every stage of the publication process, from administrating peer-review to copy editing and hosting the final article on dedicated servers. In addition, Palgrave.com occasionally offers sales on selected hardcover books, with prices as low as £/$/€ 24.99 each.

Palgrave.com has a detailed return policy. For customers located in North, South and Latin America, Springer accepts print book return within two months of invoice date for individuals and 18 months for resellers. Products must be in saleable condition and returned to the warehouse specified on the invoice/packing slip contained in your shipment. A 14-day return privilege is guaranteed for purchases by individuals from the rest of the world. If you received a damaged/defective product from them, please contact customerservice@springernature.com, since a physical return of the book will not be necessary.
